Mucho gracias a todos los profesores a Mundo Antiguo Spanish School. My husband and I recently spent 4 weeks learning Spanish at Mundo Antiguo, and we cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone at the school was very welcoming and made sure we felt right at home. The professors took their time to teach us new concepts and adapted to make sure the lessons fit our needs. Roy, Gladys, Vanneza, and so many others helped us learn so much over our 4 weeks in the school. But the best part was how they welcomed you and showed off their city. Ninoska created great social events every evening that helped us meet other students and make friends. We were lucky enough to have a home stay with Felcie, who was amazing and made us feel like family. That’s not to even mention the star of the show - Cusco is an amazing and vibrant city. And it’s a great place to learn Spanish, as the Peruvian accent is slow and clear. At the end of our 4 weeks, I know I have a long way to go with Spanish, but I feel like I have a great start with Mundo Antiguo. We are so glad we chose this school. Muchas gracias a todo!

Wonderful Spanish language school in the heart of the historic district of Cusco. The small classes, 2-4 people, make for individualized instruction. The school also offers evening activities for the students to get to know one another as well as locals.
Cusco is a fabulous place and Mundo Antiguo Spanish School offered insights not just into the language, but also the culture. I can highly recommend Mundo Antiguo Spanish School in Cusco, Peru.

I just got done with 2 weeks of class here. The entire experience was excellent. Fours hours per day flew by due to the excellent instructors and the format of switching instructors halfway through each day. Each day was formated with 1/2 of the time being new material and the other 1/2 being review. Thanks to my instructors Heidy, Miguel, and Gladys, along with the entire staff (Jose, Meli, Ninoska, etc.). Finally, the school is located in an excellent part of town, right at the base and start of the climb going to San Blas. For sure a recommend!

Amazing school. Very good teachers, fun vibe and met tons of people there. I took 2 weeks of private classes there and it was an affordable package including homestay and meals and social activities. I've struggled to find teachers who would challenge me to improve on my advanced level (C1), but Jimmy was very good at that, proactively correcting my errors and challenging me, he was exactly the type of teacher I needed. Unfortunately my first homestay, with Raul and Patricia, ended badly on my last day, when Raul got annoyed that I had used both beds in my twin room, saying I had 'only paid for one bed'. This was unfair because I had paid for a whole room...and another student staying in the same homestay was allowed to invite her boyfriend over one night and have him sleep in the second bed in her room, that wasn't a problem for Raul, just with me....and most importantly, if it was such a problem, he should have mentioned this was not permitted when I first arrived, and I wouldn't have touched the second bed. He said nothing about it when I first arrived. I am not taking any stars off my rating, because when I spoke to the school about it, they were sympathetic about it, agreed with me and rectified it by giving me a good discount. Second homestay with Delia was amazing. Amazing food, lovely hosts including two cute dogs, I also had my own bathroom, highly recommend Delia's place! Overall highly recommend the school - just make sure you avoid Raul and Patricia's homestay.

Spent a week here but wish I could’ve stayed 10. There’s a real community feel even if you’re there for a short time and the after class activities were brilliant. The teachers were fantastic, so likeable and engaging. I also found my placement test put me at the perfect level of classes being challenging but not so hard that I was disheartened. Can’t recommend enough.

It was the best decision that I could take, to come in this school and not an other one!
I started from zéro, and after 5 weeks I'm around level A2 and can talk with spanish.
The teachers at the school are really nice, and like to teach in a plaesant way. Every day I could hear laughs from the classes. But it was also very intense.
The school arranged me a stay in a so nice family stay. I had health issues and were my best support. And talk with me in spanish to help progressing.
The school has a travel agency that comes every day one hour to book tours
They also have a social coordinador, the best once. Every night activities are organized, also with local peruvianos.
You can't get bored !!
Muchas gracias por todo !!

I came to the school with no knowledge of Spanish. My goal was to leave with the fundamentals and basic understanding, which was achieved with a great bunch of like minded people. The staff were all amazing, it had a really close family feel as soon as you walk through the door. The team there makes you feel relaxed and welcome. There is also organised events in the evenings if you wish to participate in. Of which consisted of language exchange, learning salsa, dinners and socials sports. I would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to learn or expand on their knowledge.

I recently had the pleasure of attending this language school the staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable we enjoyed both the classroom based activities and going out and about with our tutor Vanessa.
Koen arranged some volunteering placements for us which were really rewarding especially the Soy callejerito dog shelter.
The school arranged for us to join cooking classes and salsa classes, the whole experience was so much better than I anticipated I feel we really engaged with all that Cusco had to offer!
‘A’ star organisation highly recommend.

Magical Peru! Wonderful school! My husband and I just completed 3 weeks at Mundo Antiguo in August. Despite being 30-35 years older than most other students, we had a great experience! The administrative staff was excellent. They answered the many questions we had promptly and enthusiastically. Our instructors (Vanesa and Jimmy) were great! They mixed conversation with grammar and gently corrected our many mistakes. We had a couple of lessons that included walking around Cusco and learning history. They included music and playing cards in the lessons. Our Spanish improved substantially while we were there. The school has fun activities for the students including eating together at restaurants, salsa dancing, food tastings, Andean flute playing, karaoke in Spanish, and others. Ninoska was a great organizer and helped everyone feel comfortable. Our home stay was very nice. Marina cooked us delicious meals and helped us with our Spanish. Cusco is a vibrant city with lots to do and see! I highly recommend this school!

10/10 would recommend I would absolutely recommend Mundo Antiguo to anyone and everyone!! I had an amazing experience there. All the teachers are so skilled and friendly. My Spanish improved sooo much in just 3 weeks of classes! I liked that I got to try out different teachers, the group classes were really small, and there were many fun games/activities that made the classes more engaging. I also did a Homestay and really enjoyed my experience with that as well. The family was so kind and welcoming, made me delicious meals, and helped me practice my Spanish. All of the after school activities are really fun and a nice way to make friends with other students. Overall, I think Mundo Antiguo is a really well organized Spanish school with teachers and administration staff who really care.

Never expected to progress so quickly! There are a few language schools in Cusco to chose from but some intuition made my partner and I sign up with Mundo Antiguo and we are so glad we did! The school is deliberately small and all teachers and staff are extremely personable. Within the first 15 minutes you immediately feel part of a family, every evening there are organised events to practice your Spanish and learn about local culture. The teachers are incredible, the perfect balance of a formal syllabus and knowing how to adapt content to what students want/need. Inititally I thought four hours a day would feel intense but the hours flew by!! Even with jet leg you could hardly believe the day was over. Most importantly, I was absolutely amazed at how quickly we progressed in our speaking and understanding. Not just day by day but literally, by the hour. We had initially signed up for a week of classes just to get us started but if we had more time I would have easily stayed for 2-3 weeks because the progress is that good. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Spanish Language School! We took a 3 week Spanish course here, and I don't regret it for a second! Teachers were fantastic, and the school does a great job of creating a community between teachers and between the students. There are activities to do in the evenings that help you learn about Peruvian culture, cuisine, and also foster a feeling of belonging, something I wasn't expecting. The home stay was amazing. Thanks so much to Yake, Roy, Meli, Ninoska, and our amazing home stay hosts and all the rest of the school, it was a once in a lifetime experience!

Incredible Learning Experience with Cultural Immersion I took Spanish classes here for 3 weeks, and the experience was fantastic! The teachers were amazing, and the small group sizes (maximum of 4 students per teacher) made learning very effective. I came in with almost no Spanish knowledge, just a bit from Duolingo, but after 3 weeks, I was able to have conversations, work with kids, and navigate daily life in Cusco with confidence. The support from the staff was incredible—no matter the situation, they were always there to help with any problem or question. In the afternoons, the school offers various activities like salsa classes, language exchange, restaurant outings, fruit tasting, and more. These activities are always fun and provide a great opportunity to get to know the other students and immerse yourself in the local culture. Highly recommend this school if you want to learn Spanish in a welcoming and supportive environment!
