If you want to make the most of your time in Cusco, we offer you a 5-week intensive Spanish program. During this total program you will learn a lot of Spanish, live with a host family and do some of the most popular tours in Peru in the weekends. The highlights of our 5 week program:

This Spanish language and culture immersion is the best choice for anyone who wants to learn Spanish quickly and experience Peru and its culture. And you combine this with some of the best tours you can do in Peru. A complete 5-week program in which everything is arranged for you. This way you can concentrate on learning the Spanish language and enjoying your stay in Peru!
The first 4 weeks you will stay in Cusco with your guest family. You will have classes from Monday to Friday and you will do 3 tours on the weekends. We plan these tours in consultation with you. Your program ends with the 5-day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu.
Guest family
The program begins when you arrive in Cusco. We pick you up from the airport in Cusco and bring you to your accommodation. You will stay in a local guest family for the 4 weeks. This is the best option if you want to practice your Spanish and get a better understanding of the Peruvian culture.
In the guest family, you will have your own bedroom and you will share the rest of the house with the family. All the meals are included, so you share breakfast, lunch and dinner with the family. A wonderful experience and you will feel welcome in Cusco right away!
Spanish program
During the 4-week program, you will learn Spanish from Monday to Friday, for 4 hours a day. Classes are in a small group with a 4 students maximum. We keep the groups as small as we can to give you the best learning experience. This way, we can offer you intensive classes with a lot of oral communication. That is the best way to learn the Spanish language fast.
In total you will have 80 hours of Spanish lessons during your month in Cusco. A good amount of time, so you can improve your Spanish language skills considerably. And you will have fun doing that!
Tours from Cusco
This package includes 3 tours that you will do during the weekends that you are in Cusco, and the five-day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu at the end of your program! We do not conduct the tours ourselves. We work with a highly reputable and professional local tour operator who specializes in high quality tours and personal service.
The Sacred Valley
You will take a day trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This beautiful valley is about an hour’s drive from Cusco and is famous for its villages, its views and its role in the history of the Incas. This is a full tour with a guide who will give you a detailed explanation of the villages and sights in the Sacred Valley. Visits to the Inca ruins of Pisac, the market, lunch in Urubamba, the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo and a visit to Chinchero are included.

Rainbow mountain
The Rainbow Mountain tour is one of the must-do day trips in Peru. If you are in Cusco, you should definitely see Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley. This high Andean landscape is full of different colors. Every view here is different, if you look to the left you see white peaks with snow and to the right you see a valley full of red mountains like a red desert. And then you still have to reach Rainbow Mountain… The walk is not easy, so it is important that you are fit and well accustomed to the altitude of Cusco.
The walk is not long (8 km there and back), but is all above 5100 meters. This height makes it a challenge, but certainly one of the best day hikes in Peru! For the strongest, you can go from Rainbow Mountain through the red valley to the top. From there you have an amazing panorama of kilometers of red desert with mountain peaks in different colors.
7 lagunas
Head to the 7 Lagoons of Ausangate if you like adventure, landscapes, mountains and exotic colored lagoons! The highlights of this tour are the seven lakes on the slopes of Vilcanota Mountain. At the Pacchanta community there are amazing natural hot springs where you can relax in the baths after the hike. If you are in good shape and you are used to the altitude, the 7 lagoons of Ausangate are a wonderful day tour!
Salkantay trek
The program ends with a spectacle! The 5-day Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu will be an absolute highlight of your trip to South America. The Salkantay trek is one of the most popular treks in Peru. Of course the destination, Machu Picchu, has a lot to do with that. But the tour itself is also very beautiful. You will enjoy the nature of the Peruvian Andes. It is not an easy trek, the length of the trek and the altitude can be a challenge. The Salkantay trek starts in Cusco. We will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to Soraypampa from where you start the hike. After 4 days of hiking, you will visit Machu Picchu on day 5 and then return to Cusco.
