We have a clear vision for language education. Important facts
- Our Academic Director holds a Master’s degree in Bilingual and Intercultural Education and advanced certifications in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language (ELE).
- All our teachers hold official ELE certifications issued by ELE Internacional, an institution academically supported by Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes (Spain).
- Our teaching team has a minimum of 5 years of experience, with an average of 9 years teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
- We are recognized by the ministry of education in Peru.
- We are officially licensed by the Municipalidad Provincial del Cusco as a language and cultural education center.
- To ensure the safety of our staff and students we have all the necessary building code and municipal certifications.
International standards
👉 At Mundo Antiguo, we take your progress seriously. Our curriculum is strictly aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This ensures that your learning is structured, measurable, and recognized worldwide—from absolute beginner (A1) to near-native fluency (C2).
👉 Mundo Antiguo collaborates with U.S. high schools and educational organizations that organize supervised summer programs in Peru. As part of these programs, we provide structured Spanish language instruction designed to meet the academic standards and learning objectives established by the participating schools.
All courses are delivered by certified and experienced Spanish language teachers under the academic supervision of our Academic Director. Programs include level assessment, defined learning outcomes, structured lesson planning, and ongoing evaluation to ensure measurable progress.
Academic credit, when applicable, is awarded by the participating U.S. high school or sponsoring educational institution. Mundo Antiguo serves as the local academic instruction provider, delivering the Spanish language component in alignment with the institution’s curriculum requirements.
Through this collaboration, students benefit from immersive, academically guided Spanish instruction while earning credit through their home institution.
👉 Mundo Antiguo provides Spanish language instruction for students participating in semester-abroad programs in Cusco. These programs are part of accredited U.S. university study-abroad initiatives, where students receive academic credit.
👉 We organize Spanish language courses and academic internships for students from Dutch universities and universities of applied sciences.
