Intercultural workshop
This is a complete immersive workshop in which you will be able to immerse yourself in our culture and customs. The interesting thing about this workshop is that you will visit a farm outside the city. There, you can perform the different activities we have for you. You can choose 3 of the activities listed below. The workshops are 1 hour each.
1. Ceramic Workshop
Learning the techniques used by craftsmen, we will teach you how to use the ceramic wheel and then you will decorate a torito de Pucara.
2. Mask workshop
The masks of Paucartambo are an expression of plastic arts that contains the historical and aesthetic memory of the people of Paucartambo; it is a cultural manifestation that is related to the dances of the Festivity of the Virgin of Carmen. Learn how to make your own mask!
3. Andean Bread Workshop
Only once a year the popular T’anta Wawa (Baby Breads) is made as part of the tradition by the festivities of the day of the living and the day of the dead. In this workshop you will learn how to make this traditional baby bread from the preparation of the dough until the final step in the wood-based oven.
4. Traditional Medicine Workshop
Learn the use and management of natural plants for the treatment of various diseases through Andean knowledge about herbalism.
Included: Box Lunch.
Time: 5 hours.
Saturdays and Sundays from 10am.
Optional services: hike and accommodation.
Spanish classes
You can combine your workshops with the Spanish program you prefer. Our most popular programs are our 20 hours group course and our 10 or 20 hour private Spanish classes.
