Aline Roldan2025-04-15Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did 1 week of group classes (4h/day, we were 2 students) and 1 week of individual classes. I loved it. The teachers were excellent and the school very professional. Prices were affordable too for the quality. They matched me with a student of my level for the first week and provided a text book with grammar and exercises included. Location is great too. I stayed in an airbnb nearby. You can save money going to eat at Mercado San Blas nearby. 😉 Highly recommend! I came in speaking absolutely no Spanish, and left after 3 weeks knowing how to read and communicate the basics. While I find it fascinating I could even pick that up- it was more about the experience for me. I absolutely LOVED my host family. I stayed at Delia’s for 2 weeks, 1 week there, another week at a private apartment through the school and I couldn’t believe how much I wanted to go back to hers- so they arranged it for me for the third week. Her entire family was lovely and it truly felt like the best home. I’m so thankful for this connection. Now for school- I did not realize how hard it would be to learn a new language. But the teachers here are AMAZING. ALL of them. I did group classes and private ones last minute (as I was a little behind, was not much more $) and the school was extremely accommodating and supportive. The teachers here are GIFTED individuals. Extremely kind, fun and could even reach someone like me. I can’t even put the emphasis on one as I truly had 6 teachers (since I switched) over the time, and they were ALL amazing. I truly believe we’re on certain paths for a reason and I’m so thankful that this was part of mine. Gracias to all involved! I’ve just finished two weeks of studying here and learned loads… I chose the school because of the glowing reviews and they were totally right… really great teachers and organised and warm admin staff, friendly atmosphere, good range of activities, and even an onsite doctor for stomach bugs who was also great… would definitely recommend 😊 Ingrid Wang2025-03-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Casey Halloran2025-03-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Martha Anderson2025-03-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently spent two months studying Spanish at Mundo Antiguo. I can’t recommend this school enough, and here’s why: - Activities: The school is clearly devoted to creating a sense of community. There’s an activity every single day during the week, which made it very easy to make friends. Also, one of the activities is a language exchange with locals; it was a great avenue to meet people you’d later see around town. - The city: Cusco is a great city to live in. The architecture is beautiful, the temperature is perfect if you like to wear sweaters, and I pretty much always felt safe. - Home stay: I loved my home stay family and learned a lot about normal life in Cusco. - Support: Mundo is really good about checking in with you. Every week, they give you a paper to review how things are with your teachers, the events, and your housing. They truly care about you having a great experience. - Staff: Right from the beginning, all of the staff are so kind and welcoming. They were always happy to offer advice for exploring the city and nearby areas. - Class size: I signed up for group classes. Even though the max class size was four, I never had more than one other person in my class. Due to my level/the level of the other students, I was by myself for 4 weeks (3 hours per day instead of 4, no change in price). Mundo’s commitment to small group sizes is really amazing and allows for more speaking time. - Grammar/conversation: I learned so much. The teachers did a great job of balancing grammar time with conversation, and I walked away after two months with the ability to have conversations about deep topics. - Teachers: Typically, you have two teachers a week (one for the first half of your class and one for the second). This allows you to experience a variety of teaching styles. It’s also obvious that the two teachers work together to create a cohesive learning plan. Because I was at the school for so long, I had about 10 different teachers. It’s crazy how great they all were. I’ll never forget my time at Mundo Antiguo, and I hope to come back one day. Thank you so much to all of the teachers and staff. :) Photos are of my home stay with Felcie’s family, a volunteer event, the school/the street outside the school, and some of the many activities (language exchange plus karaoke afterwards, pisco sour class, torito painting, soccer, Monday dinner, potato tasting, and trivia night). Nicaurys H2025-04-15 An unforgettable experience – 10/10 An unforgettable experience – 10/10!In September, I was lucky enough to take Spanish lessons at a language school in beautiful Cusco, Peru – and what an experience it was! This school exceeded all my expectations. The quality of the Spanish lessons was incredibly high: structured, clear and adapted to your level. Every teacher I had was not only professional, but also genuinely friendly, patient and always willing to answer questions. You immediately felt welcome and supported. What really made the school special were the daily extracurricular activities. Every day there was something different on the program: cozy dinners with fellow students, language exchanges with locals, dance lessons, football or volleyball, coffee workshops and much more. It was the perfect way to get to know other students, practice Spanish and immerse yourself in Peruvian culture. This school is highly recommended for anyone who wants to improve their Spanish in an efficient and fun way, while making new friends in a warm, cultural environment. I give it a big 10 out of 10. A unique experience I will never forget. Lidya B2025-04-02 Best Spanish School This is probably the most well structured Spanish school I attended during my travels in Latin America. The materials, the teachers, class structure and the homestay option were all excellent. They also organized really great activities outside of class to help students get to know each other, practice spanish, and learn about the local culture. I’m so glad I found this school and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to learn spanish at any level. Jack D2025-03-28 Spanish school for a gringo Was an incredible experience! As someone who didn’t speak a lick of Spanish beforehand, I felt very supported in my learning and really enjoyed the after school activities. Would highly recommend! All the teachers and other staff members were very open and friendly. During the lessons we did new grammar but also a lot of speaking exercises that were helpful for the everyday life. Apart from lessons the school also offered daily fun activities which created a really nice atmosphere and community with all the other students. If possible, I definitely want to come back.
