Lianne de Jeu2025-01-16 An absolutely incredible experience!! I took 25 hours of private classes with two very well trained teachers and got out not only a lot better and more confident in my Spanish, but also found my Cusco family there out of fellow travelers. The school hosts activities every weekday including a welcoming Christmas dinner and made it feel like a home away from home. Very thankful, have recommended this place to anyone looking to improve their Spanish with an incredibly lovely staff that felt like friends. Thank you! Tishrei Movich-Fields2025-01-06 I took Spanish classes at Mundo Antiguo for 5 weeks and it was an incredible experience! My Spanish improved so much, both from the grammar lessons but also from simply speaking with my teachers. All of the teachers were incredible and knowledgeable, and the school has an incredibly welcoming ambiance. There were also weekly activities such as dinners, salsa classes, language exchanges, and more that allowed me to get to know Cusco while also getting to know the other students in the school. I stayed in a homestay for the first two weeks, with Felcie and Vlad. They were incredible and very welcoming! I also stayed in the student apartments for a few weeks, which are a great option if you want more flexibility with your time and want to cook and/or eat out more. Overall, I couldn't recommend Mundo Antiguo more! The staff and teachers truly care about the students and that makes all the difference. Esme Chant2025-01-03 I had an amazing two weeks at Mundo Antiguo! I took group lessons and stayed at the Jackie homestay, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The classes were fantastic—split between two teachers, which gave me the chance to experience different teaching styles. This variety really helped me improve my Spanish over the course of my stay. The homestay was another highlight of my experience. It was a wonderful opportunity to practice Spanish at home, and the family I stayed with was incredibly welcoming. I was fortunate to spend Christmas with them, and they went out of their way to make me feel like part of their family. On top of that, the extra activities organised by the school were a lot of fun and a great way to connect with other students. From start to finish, everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Mundo Antiguo to anyone looking to improve their Spanish in an immersive and supportive environment! Helen Ruff2025-01-02 I was at the school for 2 weeks and I had the best time! The school is small and therefore the classes are really individual and adapted to your level of Spanish. I stayed in a host family and the school organized everything, even the taxi to the home stay. The school organizes social activities every day as well and it was always really nice! For example Salsa class, language intercambio, football etc. Also really good value for money, as it is one of the cheapest schools in Cusco. I can highly recommend it & I am very glad I spent two weeks at this wonderful small & familiar Spanish school. The staff is amazing & always there if you need anything. P. Sunny2024-12-30 Super leuke en gezellige school in Cusco. De lessen zijn inhoudelijk erg goed, leraren professioneel en aardig en verder worden er veel activiteiten georganiseerd. Samuel Woolard2024-12-27 Mundo Antiguo is such an amazing place to learn Spanish and experience life in Cusco. I did 20 hours private lessons over 1 week at the end of a holiday in Peru. I learned so much in that time, it was a challenging but enjoyable and very effective learning experience. I managed to cover irregular present and simple future and past all in one week. My teachers (Jimi and Vanessa) were awesome. They pushed me to learn and improve but also were flexible, and I also enjoyed how I was able to learn a lot about the life of a typical Cusquenian through out conversations. Aside from the great lessons, the school creates a very friendly, family-like environment. New students are introduced to the rest of the class at the end of the week and the packed events programme gives you the chance to further practice your Spanish and meet great people. I particularly enjoyed the language exchange with locals and the fruit tasting. Thanks so much Ninosks for all your hard work to create such fun events. Would love to come back at some point, and would highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn Spanish, meet people from a range of nationalities, and to be challenged and have fun! Anne Pruiksma2024-12-25 Twee weken Spaanse les gehad hier en het was mega goed! Naast les organiseren ze allemaal leuke activiteiten ook. Ben Parnell2024-12-24 Awesome experience. My teachers were great and explained things very well. The resources provided were great and allowed me to continue studying independently after leaving the school. I feel my spanish has improved significantly despite only studying for one week. The activities in the evenings were also excellent for socialising with fellow students, staff, and locals alike. I particularly enjoyed the football and language exchange with locals. Vielen Dank 🙏🏼🤗 Lorenz Tschuor2024-12-10 Very profesional and perfectly organized. They have groupe and private classes and do everything to match your requirements, if they can. Well educated profesors who understand the problems of foreign students. Mundo Antiguo also offers an every day off the lessons program to learn about the peruanan culture such as dancing classes, intercambio in order to get in contact with locals and organize culinary events e.x. fruit and potato tastings. The host families are well chosen and interact proactively with the students. I higly recomend Mundo Antigua Spanish School.Load more

The teachers are all super friendly and helpful, (special thanks to Sandra and Vaneza - Te amo ❤️ 🤣) awesome teachers, the lessons were both really fun and helpful, I’ve been able to navigate my way around Peru (Cusco) much easier and the local people really appreciate the effort when you try to speak Spanish. Also shout out to Ninoska for the activities, food, football, language exchanges / salsa lessons, all really fun. I had a blast! Would recommend the school to anyone, 10/10Ryan and Lauren (England, 32/30) anthony m2024-12-27 Spanish improved. Did 10 hours of lessons for a week. Great location Teachers are super nice.Events every night / day. Spanish improved and confidence in speaking improved. Slwoolard2024-12-27 Friendly, welcoming school. Flexible and great social events. Mundo Antiguo is such an amazing place to learn Spanish and experience life in Cusco. I did 20 hours private lessons over 1 week at the end of a solo trip to Peru. Lyne N2024-12-18 An incredible experience! I spent 4 weeks at Mundo Antiguo Spanish School in November 2024. I will keep great memories forever! The staff at the school is top notch for their professionalism, adaptability, friendliness, enthusiasm, to name a few. I was with the same teacher, Yaki, for the month, and was amazed on how well she knew her stuff. There is no question that stayed unanswered. Her knowledge of the Spanish grammar and culture blew me away. She is a teacher through and through, on top of being a geologist engineer. She took a second university degree in order to become a teacher. I am a retired school teacher and can appreciate the depth of her knowledge and the ease of explaining it back to her students. Our classes were full of interesting discussions. She knows how practicing the language is as important as the exercise book we were using. The book was a tool and not an end in itself. By the way: the book is incredibly well written/done. From Monday to Friday, the school offers activities after school hours. Monday evening: welcome dinner to help new students integrate to the community. Tuesday evening: salsa class. Wednesday evening: language exchange. Thursday evening: football game. Friday: cultural experience. The school has a doctor on the premise to help in case of sickness. It also has a travel agent on site to help organize visits. Mundo Antiguo Spanish School goes beyond the call of duty to make the overall experience a winning one. If I could give 10 stars to this business I would. Monika2024-12-09 The best Spanish language school The best Spanish language school! A wonderful and family atmosphere, great people, professional and excellent teachers (we were taught by two teachers - both fantastic Cynthia and Miquel). The school is beautifully located in the iconic San Blas district. We studied at school for two weeks - me and my teenage son. We are both delighted with the school and happy that we ended up there. We also really liked the afternoon integration meetings, which allowed us to practice the language, but also to learn more about Peruvian culture. Everything was perfectly organized by the amazing Ninoska. We regret that we can no longer study at school. This is our best travel experience so far. We started from scratch with the language, and now we can communicate and understand a lot. Thank you all very much!! Hans W2024-12-06 Book there classes if you think about it If you are looking to learn or improve your spanish, do it here! The team is really lovely and work with you individual preferences. Everyday they also offer different activities to learn about the culture, connect with other students or just have a good time. And the way of teaching is also really modern anf good (I by myself was a teacher, so yes, they are good!) Susan Abrill2024-11-30 Quality, Value and Heart I took group classes here for two weeks, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The prices are excellent, and the facility itself is charming, housed in a traditional adobe building that feels cozy and authentic. There’s also an open courtyard where you can soak up some sun during breaktime—perfect for recharging. The school offers free coffee and tea all day, including traditional Peruvian mates, which was a lovely touch. The staff is completely bilingual, so you can communicate in either English or Spanish, whichever you prefer. The bathroom facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the Wi-Fi connection is reliable and fast. The location is very convenient—it’s centrally located, so you can walk there easily. If you’re staying in another neighborhood, a taxi ride is only 7 soles (about $2 USD). Group classes run from 9 AM to 1 PM, with three breaks. During these breaks, you can grab a healthy snack from a nearby bakery, or after class, enjoy a full "menu" lunch (soup, main course, and drink) at a local cafeteria for just 7–8 soles. Everything is affordable and within walking distance, making it easy to connect with classmates for lunch or coffee after class. Now, about the instruction—this is where the school truly shines. As a university foreign language professor from Canada, I have high standards, and Mundo Antiguo exceeded them. The methodology and practice were excellent and highly effective. The school provides well-designed in-house produced books tailored to different levels, and the teachers are clearly well-trained. Classes offer plenty of opportunities to speak, and teachers provide selective, helpful corrections for pronunciation and grammar. Because they are bilingual, they can quickly explain idiomatic expressions in English when necessary.I genuinely looked forward to going to school every morning, rain or shine. The staff and teachers are warm, welcoming, and create a sense of belonging that is rare to find.If your time in Cusco is precious, choose the right school—Mundo Antiguo is it! I highly recommend it.Load more
